Cementene™
What is Cementene™ ?
Cementene™ is Versarien’s family of graphene-based aqueous admixtures that promises to significantly enhance the properties of concrete and reduce its carbon cost.
Admixtures are those ingredients in concrete other than portland cement, water, and aggregates that can be added to the mixture immediately before or during mixing.
Admixtures can provide a simple route to incorporate graphene or other fillers into a concrete mix, provided there is adequate dispersion and stability.
The use of Cementene™ as an admixture for concrete mortars and associated products enables designers and specifiers to reduce the amount of cement in these products whilst maintaining or enhancing properties, and as a result reduce the overall carbon footprint through its manufacture, transport and use.
Cementene™ can provide excellent workability and accelerated curing thus reducing processing time before final surface floatation or removal of formwork.
